British Heart Foundation (BHF) Wantage Store Appeals for Preloved Donations

The BHF Wantage is appealing to the local community to support the store by donating preloved items.

The Wantage store welcomes donations such as sofas, wardrobes, beds, electricals, and homewares. Every item sold will be turned into funds for research that could help transform the lives of those in Wantage living with heart and circulatory diseases.

For larger donations to BHF home stores, you can simply book a free collection slot online or by calling the local store. For those who haven’t got time to hit the high-street, the charity’s postal donation service is also available for smaller, quality items such as clothing, tech, and books – scan the bar code at your local Collect+ drop off point to print a label. Alternatively, you can pop by and donate in person and take a look at the fantastic items BHF shops have on offer. The Wantage store is a great place to pick up good quality, value pieces if you’re looking to update your home.

With donations from the public, the BHF funds ground-breaking research that will get us closer than ever to a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases. To find your local BHF head to bhf.org.uk/shop.

Many of us have clothes hanging in our wardrobe that we no longer wear. That does not mean to say there is anything wrong with them but perhaps they no longer fit, your lifestyle has changed, and you no longer require business clothes to wear to work or you are simply bored with them. Now, thanks to an initiative organised by Sustainable Wantage and Grow Families, you can be part of a Clothes Swap taking place at Wantage Methodist Church in Newbury Street on Saturday 19th October.
