Following the success of their pantomime earlier in 2026, the Didcot Phoenix Drama Group is excited to announce that their next production, Terry Pratchett’s ‘Wyrd Sisters’ adapted for stage by Stephen Briggs, will be performed at Didcot Civic Hall on 13th June at 7.30pm and Harwell Village Hall on 20th June at 7.30pm.
‘Wyrd Sisters’ is a show the group has been waiting to do for a while, and they are extremely excited that they will soon be bringing to show to the local community.
Originally by Terry Pratchett and adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs, this story explores the exploits of three witches, a mad king, a fool, and many other characters! The wonderful writings of the late Terry Pratchett takes the iconic words of The Bard, William Shakespeare, and turns them on their heads in a hilarious manner.
The show also carries a lot of local importance as when it was adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs, the first group to ever dramatize ‘Wyrd Sisters’ was in Abingdon during 1991, so as you can imagine, Didcot Phoenix Drama Group, are delighted to be able to follow in the footsteps of the originals, 35 years later.
