Folly & Wild

Folly & Wild is an Oxfordshire-based homeware and skincare company which started on Wave of Light Day 2021 (15 October). The idea of starting a new business in an already flooded market was to produce eco-friendly sustainable and vegan handmade products which not only have health benefits for the customer, but for the planet too. Folly & Wild had to stand out from the crowd. Having had 11 yrs. experience running my own business prior to lockdown I chanced the market and here we are!

So, what makes Folly & Wild different?

SOY FREE

Soy accounts for a significant amount of deforestation, so we felt we needed a much more planet-friendly alternative, which few companies like ours do. Our wax products are made with Italian olive wax which is a by-product of making olive oil. Win-win! It’s not getting thrown away and it makes the most gorgeous products.

ECO FRIENDLY

We are 99% plastic free, and we are working on becoming completely plastic-free soon. All packaging is biodegradable and made from the most natural products we can find on the market.

VEGAN

Whilst it was always the plan to be cruelty-free, we felt it was important to cater for everyone, so all our products are suitable for the vegan market, we have carefully chosen a like-minded supply chain too, to make choosing our products easier than the timely and frustrating process of looking at ingredients and labelling.

CARBON NEUTRAL

Folly and wild are committed to neutralising the effects of our carbon footprint, so work alongside carbon-neutral Britain to plant 30 trees a month and help projects both in the UK and abroad to become a better place, from installing wind farms to water supplies.

We run our business from an amazing wooden cabin filled with magical things which is based in Faringdon Oxfordshire. From here, we hand-pour and design all the homeware parts of the business. We have a little help making our skincare range, due to the size of our work cabin here in Faringdon and our Folly & Wild fairies in the east of England work alongside us, producing handmade botanical, natural and vegan products for Folly & Wild. We are building our range together slowly but have already launched bath salts, lip balm and naked body scrubs.

All of our stunning homeware is made especially for you, providing a bespoke service to let you choose the colour, finish, and scent of your product. We also like to encourage you to join the refill revolution. All our homeware products have been designed to be refilled, whether it be a cute little candle to a huge outside one, a reed diffuser or a car freshener – everything is refillable which helps the planet and your pocket too.

Every day at least seven young people hear the words “you have cancer” which turns their world upside down. Raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust to enable them to provide specialist care and support, both physical and emotional, has never been so important. The charity urgently needs your help.
