Jackson and Browning Independent Funeral Services Ltd are based in Faringdon and Oxford and provide an individually tailored funeral service with the highest attention to detail. We are very pleased and extremely grateful to have been awarded the Oxford Prestige Award for the second year in a row and the Three Best Rated for the third year in a row.

We want to thank all our clients who have voted for us, the Oxford Prestige Awards destinations have been carefully selected, with prestige readers invited to nominate businesses that have proven to be the best in their market over the past 12 months.

All shortlisted companies put forward in the Prestige Awards are asked to support their nomination with evidence of their work, positive feedback from their clients, information on previous accreditation and recognition as well as highlighting the most outstanding parts of their businesses.

The judging panel base their decisions upon areas such as service excellence, quality of the products/services provided, innovative practices, values, ethical or sustainable methods of working, as well as consistency in performance. The winners selected are those who can best demonstrate their strengths in these areas to feedback from our families, the information we provide at the time of need and the service each one of our families receive before being put to a panel of judges to make the final decision.

The Three Best Rated Award was created with a simple goal to find the three best local independent businesses in key towns, they check the business's reviews, reputation, history, complaints, ratings, satisfaction, proximity, trust, cost, and general excellence using a 50-Point Inspection. They display only businesses that are verified by their employees. Three Best Rated helps 4.5 million customers per month to find the best businesses without any effort in key cities along with their complete information. They do not hide any business information from you, and they do not require you to sign-up or pay to get the information. You can simply contact the business directly and do business with them, they don't come in the middle at any time, nor do they sell your information to any other businesses.

Businesses cannot pay to be listed, after all, if you can pay to list, then is it really the best business? They believe that local businesses provide better services than big corporations for you and your family. Local businesses know your city better since they live there too, so no pay to play!

We pride ourselves on providing a good value, honest and excellent service with family at the heart of everything we do. The owner Lee Jackson has over eight year’s experience and understands the area and needs of the families within it. Each funeral service can be tailored to our clients wishes every detail is covered and we work together to make sure everything is perfect. We are family-owned, family-run and believe in giving each family as much time as possible to ensure everything is the best it can be.

Lee Jackson from Jackson & Browning said he is “overwhelmed with the continued support from the local communities. It’s a great honour to continue to win these awards and it’s a great privilege to support our families who sadly need our service,” he continues. “I couldn’t have done this without the continued support from my family and my colleagues.”
