Staff, Trustees, Volunteers and Supporters of TPHP are celebrating ten years of working with and for the local community this year. Offering many clubs, activities and services including Cake Café, Crafty Crew to combat social isolation and loneliness, Urban Movement Academy teaching parkour and freerunning, COGS, a free counselling service for 12–25-year-olds in the local area, Repair Café’, TaiChi and Exercise classes for the older residents and a Community Cupboard and Fridge helping to feed in excess of 50 families each week, it’s safe to say The Pump House Project is always busy.

The warm and welcoming space is home to a wonderful team of volunteers (always space for more though!) who help the small team of staff keep everything running smoothly.

We have recently celebrated the 10th Anniversary in style with Lord and Lady Faringdon generously donating their gardens, marquee, and theatre to us for an entire weekend! We hosted ‘Full Length and Fabulous’ on the Friday evening with guests enjoying dinner and a private concert by the Danny Illet Trio in the Theatre with drinks afterwards in the beautiful gardens followed by Afternoon Tea with a live performance from Ma Bessie on the Saturday as our way of saying Thank You to all our supporters and Sunday saw The Sun and Moon Theatre perform Romeo and Juliet outside in the beautiful gardens. It was a fabulous weekend, and we are so glad that so many people could join us.

Our vision for the coming 10 years is very much as it has always been – adapt, identify, and provide working towards a cohesive Faringdon and surrounding villages. We are currently looking for a large unit/space that can be adapted for a ‘Youth Mental and Physical Health and Wellbeing Centre’ to house all youth-based projects should anyone know of anything suitable.

Are you aware that cancer kills more teenagers and young adults in the UK than any other disease? Every day at least seven young people hear the words “you have cancer” which turns their world upside down. Raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust to enable them to provide specialist care and support, both physical and emotional, has never been so important. The charity urgently needs your help.
