I’m Patricia (Pat) Morgan, and in 2012 I started Golden Services Care with one simple aim – to do care better.
For many years I worked for other care companies, but I often felt things could be done differently. I wanted a service that truly put clients first – where their wishes guided every decision and care was delivered with warmth, dignity, and respect. I also knew that great care depends on the people who provide it, so I promised myself my team would always be valued, respected, and appreciated for the incredible work they do. I couldn’t do any of this without them.
Golden Services Care is a family-run, independently owned company. We take a person-centred approach to care, meaning everything starts with the individual – their needs, preferences, routines, and life story. We take the time to listen, to understand what matters most to them, and to ensure care is delivered in a way that reflects their personality, culture, and values.
Inclusivity is at the heart of what we do. We welcome and support clients from all walks of life, respecting differences in age, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
When we design a care plan, we involve the client and – if they choose – their family and other healthcare professionals. Over time, strong bonds form between clients and their regular care team members, creating trust, familiarity, and genuine friendship.
I’m proud that our commitment to quality has been recognised by the Care Quality Commission, awarding us Outstanding in care on three separate occasions. But for me, the real measure of success is seeing our clients living independently, comfortably, and happily in their own homes, knowing they have the right support behind them.
