Enjoyable days out at Combe Mill

In its days, Combe Mill was a workshop for the Blenheim Palace Estate. Located by the River Evenlode, Combe Mill is a late 19th Century Grade II listed Watermill with a Steam Beam Engine, Restored Waterwheel, Line Shafting and a Collection of Tower Clocks. All the machinery is running as used in its day. Combe Mill is open every Wednesday from 10.30 to 16.30 until 28th October for ‘self-guided tours’ with volunteers around and on the special events days too.

There are activities available for both children and adults including making a poker in the Dual Blacksmiths’ Forge and a Tinkering Area for children.

OPEN WEDNESDAY’S FROM 18TH MARCH 2026 for self-guided tours, with volunteers on hand to talk about Combe Mill and its history. Call by and visit the Riverside Tea Room too. Admission: Adults £6.00, Concessions £5.00 children u16 free.

Special events are:

16th August In Steam Models & Collections. Plus mini Market and Oxford Vintage Motor Cycles
Exhibitors will bring along Models & Collections of Train Sets, Dinky Toys, Tinplate Toys, Fairground, and much more. Exhibitors will be from Local Clubs.

20th September In Steam Crafts & Skills plus mini Market and Swindon Classic Cars also Charlbury Morris Dancers
Crafters from the local area including Oxford Guild of Weavers Spinners & Dyers, will be bringing their Big wheel, demonstrations of Needle Felting, Lace Bobbins, Knitting, and much more plus mini market.

18th October In Steam Wood craft at the Mill plus Autumn Market also Charlbury Morris Dancers
Demonstration of how wood was turned in the day. Combe Mill a late 19th Century Restored Water Mill on Blenheim Palace Estate by the River Evenlode, See the Blacksmiths in the forge and make a poker. Adults £9.50, seniors £8.50, accompanied children FREE open 10.30am to 4.30 last entry 3.30pm.

6th December Christmas Fayre. NOT IN STEAM Free entry
With Market Stalls and Santa's Grotto. Book for the Grotto online combemill.org

Tea room will be open, BBQ, Gift Shop, Tombola and Raffle, Market Stall, at all events come along and browse.
Dog on Leads most welcome. Parking free
