Founder of Community Interest Company Rainbow Trees Pathway, Jemma Quarterman, not only has personal experience within her own family of what supporting a child or teenager with neurodiversity requires but she has over 20 years’ experience of working with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. She has dedicated her career to supporting neurodivergent children, young people, and adults, particularly those with complex communication needs.
Taking that experience and knowledge, Jemma has established Rainbow Trees Pathway and together with her team of professionals they support neurodivergent individuals and their families through a neuro-affirming and trauma-informed approach. They offer respectful, person-centred guidance that honours each person’s experience, communication, and way of interacting with the world.
Based in Witney, Rainbow Trees Pathway offers support to individuals and families in West Oxfordshire and parts of South Oxfordshire.

My passion is to help individuals and families feel seen, supported and empowered. By creating pathways which allow everyone to grow, belong and thrive together, we can support individuals with complex mental health challenges, always using a trauma-informed and compassionate approach.”

Rainbow Trees Pathway was born from a simple idea and a powerful belief: that every young person deserves to be met exactly where they are right now not where others expect them to be. By recognising and responding to the present needs of each individual, the right support can be put in place to help them reach their full potential, in their own time and on their own terms.
Once a referral is received either from a parent, social worker or Local Authority, and accepted, Rainbow Trees offers a number of support pathways.
EOTAS MANAGEMENT
They provide a dedicated EOTAS (Education Other Than At School) Coordinator to support children and young people who are unable to attend school. Their coordinator works closely with families, schools, and alternative education providers to arrange personalised education plans and suitable placements, ensuring each young person receives the support they need to succeed.
SUPPORT WORK
They offer a range of specialist SEND support services, including support work, care support, and SEND teaching assistants designed to meet the unique needs of children and young people both at home and in education. They also offer Brick by Brick Lego Sessions.
ADVISORY
Specialist advice and training is provided to support families, carers, and professionals working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Whether you're just starting your SEND journey or looking for professional input along the way, they are here to provide clear, compassionate, and practical support.
COMMUNITY
Rainbow Trees Pathway works in collaboration with SEND & Friends, offering a supportive community for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), their families, and carers. The SEND & Friends community grew from a deep understanding that within the SEND community, everyone should have equal access to inclusive, meaningful event spaces created with them in mind. These events offer more than just fun; they provide connection, belonging, and a chance to meet others who utterly understand helping young people and families feel less alone.
ALTERNATIVE LEARNING
Every young person deserves a learning journey that works for them. The Alternative Learning Support team helps families who are home educating, young people who are finding school attendance difficult, and anyone navigating transitions or education phase changes.
