Here at West Oxon Boxing Club, we welcome everyone. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive club, welcoming ages from 11 years upwards. Most of our sessions are mixed including children, adults, men and women and we all train together. It doesn’t matter what fitness level you are or what experience you have.

However, we also run Ladies only sessions for those ladies who perhaps could feel intimidated entering a Boxing Club. Our ladies-only sessions take place on a Thursday evening 6pm-7pm and are run by an experienced female boxing coach.

At West Oxon Boxing Club, we focus on getting the best out of our clients depending on their needs and their physical fitness. Some of our ladies want to tone up, some want to lose weight, and some come along to improve their mental health and wellbeing (some want to achieve all of these and more) and of course, some ladies want to learn the skills of boxing to compete in the ring.

Whatever your needs please be reassured that we will endeavour to meet them. Each week our sessions are different but will comprise of some core fitness, bag work and pad work and of course lots of fun along the way.

Our ladies range from 13 years old to 60 years old, but we see age as just a number. We offer the first session free so no need to book. Just turn up in gym clothes with a bottle of water and leave the rest to us. We will provide suitable hand wraps and gloves.

We also offer 1-2-1 and small group sessions for those who cannot make the session time or for those who want a quieter introduction to training. We have female and male coaches for these sessions and the prices range from just £15. They are tailored to your personal needs depending on what you would like to achieve.

Experienced Coaches have said that the 13- 15 year old teams often struggle as the boys mature. Some have a change of heart and move in a different direction, some become passionate about the game. Some parents bring their lads along to try and give them a focus, a physical outlet or to give them a direction in which to find themselves. Our team has struggled with these challenges and as Coaches we have deliberately sought to develop the team with a focus on the RFU core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship (TREDS).
