Hi, I’m Louise the Slimming World Consultant for Faringdon. I became a consultant 8 years ago after losing 3 stone with the Slimming World plan, attending Grove group with Nickie after being inspired by her story, feeling comfortable approaching her for help. I joined after finding out I needed a risk reducing double mastectomy.

The plan fit well around my family, after all its just normal food, making changes as part of your lifestyle, then becoming a habit. I find my friends and family get bored of me going on about Slimming World how easy it is to follow, it’s because I’m so passionate about it, loving the fact you can eat as much as you like of the free foods, without weighing, measuring, or counting…. And never feeling hungry.

My members know I’m honest about my own journey and will always be truthful with them, I must admit I really struggled during the first lockdown and gained some of my weight back, having been at target for 7 years, I was mortified, however gaining the confidence to go back as a member to my local group in Swindon, that gain is on its way off again.

One of my members Cath lost a staggering 6 stone during the first lockdown reaching her target weight just before Christmas. This is why I love my job being able to encourage and support members during what was very challenging times.

Group is pretty much back to how we know and love – still with some safety measures in place for everyone’s peace of mind.

I give you my promise that when you choose to walk through the doors of our Slimming World group, you’ll walk out feeling firmly in control, empowered, confident – spirits lifted! Together, we’ll help you get straight on track to an incredible first week’s weight loss – and continue supporting you until you’re flying towards that dream weight.

My groups are held at Faringdon United Church:

*Wednesdays at 6pm (with a 7.30pm session starting 5th January 2022).
*Thursday mornings at 9am.

Are you aware that cancer kills more teenagers and young adults in the UK than any other disease? Every day at least seven young people hear the words “you have cancer” which turns their world upside down. Raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust to enable them to provide specialist care and support, both physical and emotional, has never been so important. The charity urgently needs your help.
